08 March 2018, Dubai, UAE – On International Women’s Day, specialist private equity firm, TVM Capital Healthcare, reiterated its views on best business practice and diversity, explaining that the inclusion of both women and men on all levels of a company yields visible and impactful results.

Hoda Abou-Jamra, Founding Partner at TVM Capital Healthcare, said: “The world is celebrating International Women’s Day, shining a light on the need for action and the continued promotion of the benefits of diversity.  The link between diversity and performance is increasingly coming under scrutiny.  A growing body of research suggests that more women on the management floor equates to outperforming returns.  In the private equity world in which I operate, this matters.”

Also Founding Chair of the 30% Club GCC, Hoda Abou-Jamra is a major advocate of diversity making companies stronger. Concerned about diversity and associated gender topics being consigned to a process rather part of the business culture, she added:  “By consigning diversity to a process, or box-ticking exercise, rather than an integral culture of a growth company is a way to stall and stifle business. Being good at striking a gender balance, and making sure it runs through the DNA of our business and investments, means we are minimizing risk, maximizing returns and building better businesses.”

International Women’s Day, a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements in all fields while also calling for gender equality, occurs on March 8 every year and commemorates the movement for women’s rights.
